TeamCity build agent and server support Sun or IBM JVM, but it seems in your case agent is started by some other implementation of the JVM (OpenJDK?).

Most likely the problem is not with TeamCity, as TeamCity perforce integration uses perforce command line to checkout files. My guess is that you probably use Linux and checkout of such file works ...

Then I would suggest to migrate 5.1.1 to Oracle, and then upgrade 5.1.1 to 6.0. In this case TC 6.0 will use Oracle database.

Hello Paul,We are investigating this error for now. Probably it is caused by Oracle specific behavior - when it returns null for the empty string. But I am not sure why we did not have this problem...

Paul, could you please attach or send to us a screenshot of your build queue? Also could you please check Oracle jdbc driver version, it should be higher than 10.2.0.1.0.

Do you use 32-bit or 64-bit JVM? With 32bit JVM there is a limit for maximum available memory. For example, on Windows, you can't start Java with -Xmx > 1100Mb.
