Kevin,We are working on this issue and, hopefully, it will be fixed in on of the next TeamCity releases.You may temporarily disable "Maven Model Inspection" in the build.

You may try to find and replace the maven-embedder-idea-2.1.jar in teamcity 3.1 directory with the same jar from teamcity 3.0.1 installation.
