Error collecting changes for VCS repository MissingSubmoduleConfigException

Hi All,

I have several repos in my TeamCity, all triggered when there are changes. Except for one repo, where I get the error below:

Error collecting changes for VCS repository '"repo_name" {instance id=165, parent internal id=36, parent id=id, description: "https://servername:8443/scm/kw/repo.git#refs/heads/develop"}'
Collecting changes failed: jetbrains.buildServer.buildTriggers.vcs.git.submodules.MissingSubmoduleConfigException: The 'https://user@servername:8443/scm/project/repo.git' repository has a submodule in the '37516462f6f6afdcc5bac344fb9abab0ddaa72bd' commit at the 'project2' path, but has not .gitmodules configuration in the root directory

Any ideas?
