Can one build agent be used for multiple TC servers?
Let's say my company has an older version of TC and is looking to upgrade. We want to upgrade our TC to a newer version since it's old, but we want to continue running the old version for some environments that we don't want to upgrade. The two TC versions would be installed on different machines to do so.
The question is in the agents. If we want to keep both TC servers running to, each with some environments on them, can our build agents be used for either TC versions?
In other words, if I have one agent, can two seperate TC servers be assigned and interact with it?

Hi,
If you mean about a build agent license, then you can't, licenses are only valid on one server at a time. If you mean about the installation folder, while it's possible, you might want not to do it. While the process will automatically upgrade or downgrade its own installation, it takes time and resources. You might as well install a second build agent on the same machine, and have one of them running at a time, or even both if you so want. You can install multiple build agents on the same machine.
If you want to share resources such as work/temp folders, you could do that, but please keep in mind the possibility of conflicts if both agents are using them at the same time.
