Single user not receiving email notifications for single project
Hello,
we are having a problem at out company, regarding email notifications in one of 5 projects, regarding a single user:
He simply doesn't receive emails for this single project, but other users get email notifications for this project, and he gets email notifications for the other projects.
The problem is easily reproducable.
Sadly I'm not our Teamcity operator, and thus am not very knowledgeable regarding Teamcity.
But I am authorized to provide screenshots/logfiles void of email addresses, so I'm sure the problem can be tackled with a little guidance.
We are running TeamCity Professional 2017.1.1 (build 46654).
All our projects have their notification configuration in our Root project.

'ProjectTool' is the culprit, it's bound to a single agent, though as far as I understand notifications are performed by the Teamcity server itself, so this shouldn't be an issue.
All our users habe their notification rules inherited from the default 'All users'

Hi,
sorry for the delay. While user groups can control notifications, individual users can override those configurations for themselves and disable notifications. Please check that the user hasn't overriden the project notifications. If he still has the project enabled, I'd recommend disabling his notifications for the project, saving, then enabling back. If it doesn't work, we'll have to dig deeper into the issue.

I double checked the user notification settings, and it seems there were no private rules turning anything off:
I disabled and reenabled his notification settings for this project:
Though the problem still persists, as he didn't get an email when he purposely broke the build afterwards.
Is there a specific log file/log setting i can search to confirm if the email might be sent, and gotten junk filtered by our mail server before we delve deeper?

One of the possible causes could be that the user doesn't have read access to the failing build or his account isn't associated with his VCS username. Please check that the user can view the build and the change is marked.
If everything seems fine then please enable 'debug-notifications' logging preset and add 'teamcity.notification.logPerUserFiltering=true' internal property. When the problem reproduces please send the log to andrey.titov@jetbrains.com
