build hung right after start

Hello,

a simple build hung right after start. The only build log on the teamcity is:

[09:05:00] The build is removed from the queue to be prepared for the start

[09:05:00] Starting the build on the agent XY

And it was hunging there for 29 hours.

The only log i still have from this time comes from teamcity-vcs-log from the agent and does not tell me much:

[2018-07-29 09:05:00,695]   INFO - ldServer.AGENT.PollingProtocol - New command is received from server "runBuild" {id = 362}

Is there a chance to figure out what happened?

thank you in advance,

Unfortunately the log doesn't say anything useful. I'd recommend following the steps here, then check  agent thread dumps as this issue happens on the agent: https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/TCD18/Reporting+Issues#ReportingIssues-Slowness,HangingsandLowPerformance

Thank you, Denis.

It is some time since it happened - the thread dump is not relevant anymore. But I will keep it in my mind if it happens next time.

Have a nice weekend,

K
