Build agents compatibility

Hi, 

We're currently running the following TeamCity  server version:

8.0.4 (build 27616), enterprise edition

We are considering upgrade and we are wondering if it's possible to upgrade just  build agents from versions:

27616, 37293

to:

42002

Is this going to work ?  or new build agents are not compatible with older server versions ?
