Outdated sources on Build Agent
It has happened more than once now, that on my build agent machines (both Linux
and Win XP), the sources are not properly updated. (see also TW-787). I've tried
turning on "Clean all files before build" for a problematic configuration, but
that didn't change anything: The outdated sources were neither cleared, nor
updated to the current version.
This is a total showstopper if I cannot trust the builds to actually include the
latest sources from the VCS (CVS). Please advise what the reason could be or
what I can do to provide you with more information.
Sascha
Please sign in to leave a comment.
Please submit bug request, attach logs from server and the agent.
It will be great it you reproduce the problem with new eap and attach its
logs, because they will be more details.
Thanks!

Don't know if it is related, but http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/TW-592 sounds similar and has made testing any further impossible for us. It has been fixed for almost a couple weeks. And we are waiting (somewhat) patiently for a new EAP.

Yep, that sounds very similar. I'll wait for the next EAP then. Any idea when
it's gonna be available?
Thanks,
Sascha
Tim, as I understand when you do 'Clean sources' it helps. Doesn't it?

I wasn't building with "Clean Sources" but was manually "Reset(ting) sources" from the build agents page.
--Tim
'Reset sources' for the agent does the same as 'clean build', if build is
running on this agent.

Hmm, "clean build" definitely did not have an effect on my problem, but after
"reset sources", the agent got the up-to-date files.
Sascha
Do you have logs from the agent?

Don't worry. I'm not planning on frustrating anyone on the Jetbrain's team. Anyone with the power to take IDEA and TeamCity away from me is on the safe list.

I'm seeing a problem with the source again, though this seems like a more complex situation.
I did a Delayed Checkin with both boxes unchecked (do not checkin and do not confirm). After running the builds, I did a checkin of those files after reviewing the results. This checkin seemed was listed in the build changes, but didn't seem to make it. I may have also restarted the server somewhere in the middle here. And finally, at least one of the builds was a new build. There was a whole lot going on here, so I know it is tough to pin down what may or may not have happend.
--Tim
Was it 1615?
If it was, please submit the bug request, the problem seems to be serious.
And attach agent and server logs to the request, please.
