VMWare plugin download link missing
Hi,
Can someone give me the link to download the vmware plugin please.
I have gone to http://confluence.jetbrains.net/display/TW/Cloud-VMWare+plugin but this keeps leading me in circles.
Thanks
David

Hi David
The binaries are published at http://teamcity.jetbrains.com/viewType.html?tab=buildTypeStatusDiv&buildTypeId=bt304
But what issue do you have with our documentation site?
Thanks for the link. The issue with the document is that the link you just sent me is not part of the documentation. When you follow the link to download teamcity plugins it will then take you back to this same page.
Oops sorry just saw the link at the bottom of the page, I guess I was expecting a download link.
Hi, i downloaded the binaries, but the
Once you install the plugin on the server. The
Thanks, i got it.
I have the VMWare plugin working, but it only seems to work when the VM is running. Once the VM has been stopped it doesn't start the VM and run a build on it. Can you tell me if this is the expected behaviour, or am i missing a trick.
Cheers,Thomas
You need to make sure you have the xml configuration file is setup and the filename MUST end with "-image-info.xml"
David,
thanks for the quick reply. I have the xml file setup and as i said previously, if the VM is running then it uses the VM fine. My problem is i don't want to leave the VMs in a running state when they are not being used. So I use TeamCity to stop the VM, I then expect when a new build configuration is added to the build queue a VM would be started, however this doesn't happen.
on the documentation page : http://confluence.jetbrains.net/display/TW/Cloud-VMWare+plugin
it states: The plugin allows to launch one of pre-configured VMWare virtual machines based the build queue on the TeamCity server.
does the VMWare plugin start a VM if its not running for you?
Cheers,
Thomas
Yes the VM will launch automatically if not started and will also shutdown after an idle timeout.
Check your "Terminate Instance Idle Time"
Not sure what else you may have wrong as I have only started using VM's within the last week myself.
Hi
is it still actual issue for you? What version of TeamCity do you have?
