ClearCase VCS support

We do plan to support ClearCase VCS. Most likely it will be released
in the TeamCity Agra, scheduled for the December.

Thank you for answer, but for now December seems too far.

So, can I speed up the release moment (for me)? I have several ideas.

From one side, I noted that supported VCS for TeamCity are the same as defaults for IDEA. From other side, there is an exterior ClearCasePlugin for IDEA. So, is it possible to use it to add support for ClearCase in TeamCity by myself?

Another decision (as I see) - to use mechanism equals to External Tools form IDEA to launch ClearCase actions (by .bat files)? Can I use this method and create my custom VCS provider as quick and dirty decision? This provider as I plan will implement your interface and simply lauch such .bat files. Is it possible?

Or, if you already have some alpha version of your ClearCase provider implementation I can be your first tester.

Also, is JetBrains aware that in ClearCase/ClearQuest V7.0 there is a Java API opened, among with our plans (for example) to upgrade in future 9 months it will create a demand for another plugin, so i think it's time to start with it.

We are working hard on it and I hope you'll see the beta this month.

No. But I don't think we'll use this API in the first release.

2. If you don't have information of the API, maybe you could have used some help from interested party (for example)? Besides i don't expect you to brake the release cycle and to rewrite your plugin immediately, but my message was to warn you about future demands and i hope to target your releases.

Yes, we're glad to get any help related to ClearCase API as well as
ClearCase use cases. We have never used it before and it seems my ideas
about CC usage practices can be wrong.

I am keenly awaiting clearcase support. I trust it will support UCM usage.

The early access release of TC doesn't seem to have clearcase activated yet. Please contact me if I too can help in describing CC usage scenarios.
