Cannot find agent side vcs support for vss
Hi,
I have just upgraded our installation to the new EAP 3776 version from version 1.2 due to the new "checkout on build agent" feature and other improvements and so far I'm really impressed with the changes. Remote checkout with CVS works perfectly however with VSS 6 I receive the message "Cannot find agent side vcs support for vss". I have ensured that the build agents in question have the location of ss.exe available in the path however this does not solve the issue. Is there a way to configure agent side vcs support for vss?

Hello Leanne,
TeamCity can only checkout VSS sources on server.
Could you please try using VSS check out on server if that is suitable
for your project, if not,
please write us your use case.

Thank you for your assistance.
I have reverted back to check-out on server and so works as before. The reason for checking vss files out on remote client is due to checkout/timeout problems we have been experiencing when using the check-out on server option. It's hard to put a finger on the problem precisely but often during working hours builds fail due to a file 'not being ready' during the checkout process which we do not experience with over-night builds.
