Windows Tray notifier problems
When a build alert comes up, in just get a box that says, "The XML page cannot be displayed. Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct"
If I select About, it just shows an xml file's content.

P.S. The machine running notifier is WindowsXP Professional SP1
Any way to fix this? The TC demo I'm giving this afternoon will look better if the notifier works.
Hello Jon,
Do you have some software tweaking Internet Explorer (IE)?
Is that possible to work with TeamCity Web Interface using IE?

Hi Eugene,
I'm using IE 6.0.2800.1106....
Not aware of any IE software tweaking.
I can & will use the web interface but I believe the notifier will be especially attractive to management at the demo.
Thanks,
Jon

Wild guess: do you have MSXML installed? I'm not sure if it's required at all and I originally
thought it's part of XP, but the error message sounds a bit like it's missing...

Hi Sascha,
I tried installing the latest, msxml6, and it didn't help.
Thanks,
Jon
Hi Eugene,
I've tested on a machine with SP2 & IE7 and the popups work. Unfortunately, the corporate standard is Service Pack 1. Can you change the notifier to work on SP1? Is there something else we can install on a SP1 machine so that it works?
Thanks!
Jon
Hello Jon,
Here is the patched dll for Notifier. The problem has been fixed.
Please close Notifier, that replace the existing dll with that one.
By default it was installs to "C:\Program Files\JetBrains\TrayNotifier\"
Thanks! Hope it's not too late.

Attachment not added (general error): "WTLIEControl.dll"
Eugene,
That did the trick and in time for demoing.
Thanks!
Jon
