Default Build Agent missing?

I just installed Version 3.1.2 (build 6881) of Teamcity. In the previous version the default build agent was automatically there, however it is missing in my new installation. I can't find any link to active this agent and the documentation is inconclusive, it talks about where to disable the agent but not where to enable it.

Is the TeamCity Build Agent service running on your machine?

I assume it is not. I used the WAR-installation, so i just deployed the WAR file into an existing tomcat on my linux machine as laid out here: http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/TCD3/InstallingandConfiguringtheTeamCity+Server#InstallingandConfiguringtheTeamCityServer-installingJ2eeContainer

. Apart from that, no additional services have been installed.

Default agent can be installed only if you launch our .exe installation. However you can still install agent manually, you can download corresponding agent installer from the TeamCity agents page.
