Tray Notifier breaks with IE 8 installed

I just installed the latest EAP (7888) of 4.0 and downloaded and installed the tray notifier on a Vista machine with IE8. Upon launching the the try and attempting to sign in, I get an error that "Object doesn't support this property or method." This does not happen on my computer with IE 7 installed. Can anyone else reproduce this?

I have not found your request on the tracker for the issue.
