Remote Run - plugin side performance
Hello,
Is there any plan to improve performance for the Eclipse plugin? When you have large checkins it takes forever to launch the Remote Run dialog (just now with 89 files it took 2 minutes and 5 seconds for the dialog to complete loading). I didn't know if you were aware of it or if it would just be a fact of life.

Did you catch what step of RemoteRun launching take time most of all?

Well, I just tried it now with 58 files checked out. The total was about 1:20 with 0:35 for Calculating Statusses and 0:40 for Preparing UI.

Hi Tom,
Could you please run Eclipse in debug mode (see "Logging in TeamCity Eclipse plugin" http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/TCD4/Reporting+Issues) with switched on all options instead of "communications" and mail us with produced output?

An issue was created http://jetbrains.net/tracker/oldIssue/TW-7700?issue=. So we will try to fix it during P4WSAD 2008.2 support developing.

FYI: opened and expanded "P4 Pending Change List" view radically slows down Remote Run launching.
