Trigger Dependency Mismatch

Dependencies can be on 'LastPinned' but Triggers cannot.  This mismatch is strange as it means a trigger of LastSuccessfull and dependency of LastPinned generates a lot of builds between changes in 'LastPinned' that are exactly the same.  Isit possible to add a trigger that operates when LastPinned changes?  Or am I missing something?

Cheers,
Andrew

Thank you for the swift response, I have voted.  Given I represent a team of 15 is there a way for my vote to count for all of our votes, or do they each need to register and vote individually?  I don't want to waste all the developers time with voting for issues we need.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Andrew

We are continuously looking at user votes, ant they play important role in our decision making. But that's not the only factor of our development priorities, so a number of votes does not give you guaranties automatically.

If you're familiar with Java development, such build trigger could be developed as a custom plugin.
Take a look at Url Build Trigger sources for an example. BuildServerListener interface allows to monitor build pinning events.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for the reply, I understand that there are more development priorities than just votes and that number of votes doesn't automatically guarantee a items inclusion but surely the number of votes has some influence over which voted for issue you implement?  If I happen to be the build master for a company with 10,000 employees surely the vote I cast should count for more than a buildmaster at a 10 person company?

I guess I could get all the members of all the dev teams to register on youtrack and just send them mails for items to vote for but it does seem like a waste of time on their part.  I would think you could still show single votes but have another metric of how many people those votes represent.

Cheers,
Andrew
