Tray Notifier Error
I just installed the Tray City notifier on my new machine and I am unable to connect to our TeamCity URL. I can connect to this URL from IE 8. I get the following errors, "Unable to connect to the TeamCity server" after enetering the TeamCity URL. After I close this window I get the attached error. We are running TeamCity Enterprise 6.0.2 (build 15857). I am running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 with an Intel Core X920 2GHz Processor with 8 GB of RAM and a 64-bit OS. Any ideas? Let me know if you need additional information.
Thanks,
Mike

What is the version of TeamCity was it?
Library not geristered seems to be an issue with Tray Notifier installation. Please try re-installing Tray Notifier. Does it help?
Do you have some custom security settings for IE on your machine?
Have you tried logging in to TeamCity from IE? Tray Notifies uses embeddded internet explorer to communicate with TeamCity.
Do you have UAC enabled? If you runinning windows tray notifier prior 6.5 EAP verison you could probably need run it in 'as administrator' mode
Thanks for feedback!

Please try re-installing Tray Notifier. Does it help? Have done this a few times, but same problem.
Do you have some custom security settings for IE on your machine? I disable protection mode, but got the same error. Is there something particular you would like me to check?
Have you tried logging in to TeamCity from IE? Yes, I am able to do so.
Do you have UAC enabled? I did not, but I got the same result when I enabled UAC. I removed and reinstalled Tray Notifier.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike
We had a similar issue in TW-4120. That time security settings for intranet zone caused the issue. Could you check them?
Thanks
Active Scripting is enabled on this machine. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Mike
Do you have antivirus installed?
Please add local computer and teamcity server to trusted zones in internet explorer.
Is a restart required for this to take effect?
It seemed like the certificate got lost from my list of trusted sites this morning, and I had to re-add it.
Still, however, it cannot login. (I have not yet rebooted either my machine or IE8)
I'm on TC7 and the error is: "Unable to connect to the TeamCity server".
TeamCity uses embedded internet explorer to show most UI and to communicate to TeamCity server. Do you able to use TeamCity from IE on the machine?
Yes TC worked fine today in the browser, after I click ok for the certificate.
Thank you for info. I added an issue for it to the tracket at

Please vote for it and add more information for us to reproduce.
Is that possible to install the certificatin the the way to make IE never ask to use it?
thank you Eugene.

It's possible it seems that IT has made a change making this broken.
I am working with them in parallel and will let you know if they admit it is so!
It used to work after the cert was accepted, but I wish, since I think I identified the problelm right,
that its message would be clearer.
ps since I like to see the titles;
