Build configurations only show default branch on favourites screen
Hi!
I've noticed that this changes sometimes, but I'm not sure what the pattern is.
For the first build configuration in one Product, it shows the past 6 builds across any branches.
For the other 6 build configurations in that Product (they are chained), it only shows the build for the default branch. If I click into that configuration, I can see many other builds (so I know they are actually running) but they aren't shown on the Favourite Projects page.
Any ideas why this might be or if there is a setting that I'm not seeing?
Thanks!

To be on the same page, could you share the screenshots to demonstrate the behavior you are describing? You can upload them to https://uploads.jetbrains.com/ and share the upload ID.

Hi!
The Upload ID is 2024_05_21_tBeK8mgmSHDCG3rVuCvL8e
In the first screenshot, you can see that it is showing multiple branches on the front screen for the first build configuration but only 1 for the second build configuration.
When I opened the second build configuration, I can see many builds against that configuration.
I do have a second problem where the configurations further down the chain aren't being triggered as I would expect unless they are on the default branch. I've checked the Triggers and dependencies but they all seem to be branch agnostic. (branch filters are all +:*).
Happy if this is a separate support question!
Ben
I'm confirming this logic with the team and will update the ticket as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please create a separate ticket for your other question.
Best regards,
Anton
“Project > Builds” and “Build Configuration > Branches” tabs should show the latest builds per active branch.
Could you provide the following?
1. Screenshots of branch specifications for both build configurations.
2. Recorded HAR logs for both pages (favorite projects and opened build configuration).
Best regards,
Anton
Hi Anton,
Just confirming - could you let me know which page you want me to send a screenshot of for the branch specifications?
Triggers? Dependencies? Or is there somewhere else that might show that information?
Build configuration > Version Control Settings > Branch Filter and Version Control Settings > VCS root > General Settings.

Anton
Ok!
So the problem was that I didn't have a VCS attached for that configuration because it only used artifacts from a previous build rather than from the repository.
Thanks!
Ben
Great, I'm glad that you found the cause. Thank you for the confirmation.

Anton
