Exclusions for Anit Virus

We are running Symantec Endpoint Protection and our build time has doubled since we have installed the product. We believe this is do to it scanning source files. So we are wondering what we are missing in our exclusion list

We have excluded from our scan...

On the server

C:\Users\<username>\.BuildServer\

On the Client ...

C:\BuildAgent\

Directory where we download the source code from TFS.

Is there another folder on the client or server we should be adding to our Exclusion list. The Builds are running, just much slower than they were before we installed the virus Software.

Hi Smiths,

The exclusion list looks good enough, there are some files within the build agent folder that probably don't need it, but all the files created should be there. The problem is likely not just the files but the antivirus checking over the processes, and maybe some of the temporary files. Depending on the builds themselves, there might be other issues to consider. You could check whether your antivirus application displays a history of the scans it has performed or even you could check it live as it performs the build and see what it's doing.
