Delays Due to VCS Problems

Hi,

I encounter the following problems which I assume related to some problems my Teamcity server has working with the VCS.

  1. Long delays in queues even though all agents are idle (stuck for more than a hour in "checking for changes")
  2. At least half hour before configurations detect new pull requests or branches
  3. Long/Clean checkouts despite the fact that no major changes were pushed into the repo

I have 16 VCS roots across 9 projects with 36 build configurations as well as 10 agents.

I looked into the logs but did not see any significant indication of error.

 

Can someone please shed some light on what could be my problem or at least where do I start looking?

Hello Sharon,

What type of VCS do you use? What type of checkout do you use: agent or server-side? Please attach teamcity-server.log and teamcity-vcs.log files. Also please collect 5-10 server/agent thread dumps (depending on checkout mode) while the issue is reproduced.
