Hi, there is no method for that out of the box, but I believe you can achieve what you want using so called BuildPromotion (every build has one, you can get it using the getBuildPromotion() method ...

I think that the error is indeed caused by the proxy server. Please check if specifying proxy settings in <User home directory>/.m2/settings.xml helps.
