Run teamcity step only when build fail

I know this topic already exists (check this post) but I would like to know if there was some updates on this?

I would like to run a step only when the build is failing, without workaround like another step or the API. The only execution modes I could find do not cover this case, which looks like an error to me due to the possibilities of TeamCity. Do we have something new with the previous versions?

Hello Hugo,

At the moment there are no news and the mentioned workarounds are still the best for similar cases. There were some recent discussions regarding this functionality in the related Youtrack item, that you can follow and vote here:
