Teamcity Acquire an access token uses the wrong user

I'm using teamcity enterprise 2019. I have a connection setup to github enterprise.
When trying to setup a commit status publisher and using the "magic wand "icon to "Aquire an access token from git <enterprise location>" it uses the wrong user - how can I change this?

what do you mean it uses "the wrong user"? Which user is it trying to use? Which user is set up in the connection to GHE?
