Local Changes dialog in Visual Studio 2017 Plug-in shows duplicate folders for same tfs folder.

The Local Changes dialog duplicates the TFS folder nodes in the true due to treating the strings as case sensitive.

Is there any option to avoid this because it is creating issues for my developers who have very large workspaces.

What ReSharper/TeamCity plugin version do you use? And what is the TeamCity version?

We are using the Visual Studio 2017 plugin. The About Box says:

JetBrains ReSharper Ultimate 2019.1.1 Build 191.0.20190501.122851
TeamCity Add-in 2019.1.20190501.124837

The TeamCity server version is 2018.2.4 (build 61678)

I'm trying to reproduce the same problem locally. Could you please tell me, what steps did you perform to get changes in different cases? Maybe you could share your workspace settings?

I don't know what you mean by steps. We simply use the Visual Studio add-in. The Local Changes tree is populated with files that are currently checked out / edited. The problem is that it seems to be case sensitive, and therefore splits up changes across multiple nodes in the tree (see image). I'm getting more and more complaints every day now as we are getting closer to going live and adding more developers to the system for testing.

I mean that I don't see the same problem on the same VS+ReSharper versions. Seems you have some setting that causes the issue.

Could you please share the TFS Workspace settings (together with advanced one)?
