Cloud: Compatible configurations are reset after changing the cloud image

Hi,

I have a few cloud agent profiles, in AWS. I needed to change the image last Friday and noticed "Compatible configurations" got reset, apparently because of that. I only noticed on Monday. Is that how it is supposed to work or it's a bug?

The thing is very annoying, I now need to set this up again from scratch. Luckily this is just a beginning of our cloud adventure as normally we have many (hundreds) build configs assigned per agent / agent pool and dozens of agents so I can't even imagine I would have to re-create all of that.

Is that information stored in database? Can I get it from there and use to auto-recreate the setup? I'm afraid replacing the image with newer version will become a periodic exercise.

Hi,

I'm not sure what you exactly mean with "Compatible configurations". The compatible configurations of agents are taken dynamically based on parameters taken from the agents, which means that if you modify the agents, TeamCity cannot know whether they will be compatible until they start up again.

Do you have any specific parameters that are stopping the images from being compatible?

Hi Denis,

All "Assigned compatible configurations" were reset. That is the problem.

I need to change the image today again so will see if the issue is reproducible. I'll post the info here.
