Automatic Authorization of vSphere Cloud Agents
Hi,
we are using VMWare vSphere to provide Agents on Demand to our TeamCity Server 2017.2.4 (build 51228) using the "clone and delete" behaviour in the cloud profile. Unfortunatley, the agents are not authorized automatically.
After the cloud profile boots the agent (by pressing the Start button or initially after configuring the profile) the agent appears in the unauthorized tab and the cloud profile does not recognize it. There is a warning in the Cloud Tab that no agent connected after VM startup.
What can be the reason for this behaviour?
The log file of the agent states that the agent started, connected with id=<some number> and is waiting to be authorized.
The cloud-log of the server says that the VM has started successfully.
Thanks

The problem was solved after installing VMware Tools into the VM template. This is not mentioned in the TeamCity documentation and wouldve saved alot of time. Maybe you can add this to the documentation
