Investigation users does not work as before since TeamCity version 2017.2.2
Hello,
Since we upgraded our TeamCity version, the users which we can assign for investigation of a failing build has now limited.
Behaviour since 2017.2.2-> In version Control Settings, I have 'Show changes from snapshot dependencies' checkbox ticked.
On a failing build, if we choose Assign Investigations and then the users listed under 'Investigated by' (committers for the last 5 days) excludes the users from snapshot dependencies.
Behaviour before 2017.2.2: -> In version Control Settings, I have 'Show changes from snapshot dependencies' checkbox ticked and I could assign any user who had their changes listed under 'Changes' including changes from snapshot dependencies.
Can anyone help? Since this was a much helpful feature and now we have problems in assigning investigators or is there any alternative/workaround/ some others settings which I am missing?
Also, is there a possibility to assign any TeamCity user who has access to the project to be the investigator even though he is not listed under the 'changes'. This was possible before 2017.2.2.
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Irin Ann Samuel

Hello Irin Ann Samuel,
Could you please tell which version of TeamCity did you have before upgrading to 2017.2.2?
Thanks,
Hello Kirill Maximov,
The older version before upgrading to 2017.2.2 was 2017.2.1.
Thanks & regards,

Hello,
Can I know whether there is any update on this issue?
As our productivity is partially blocked, it would be great to have an update on the same.
Thanks,
Irin

Please vote for it to watch. So far it is not quite clear which exactly change resulted in the problem.
Let's continue in the issue in the tracker.
