vSphere plugin immediately kills manually powered machines

Hi,

We're currently evaluating the vSphere plugin for use in our environment, and have run into a major snag. We want to use it to manage our existing VMs, which works fine. However, any time we manually power up a VM in order to make changes to it, TeamCity immediately shuts it down. This happens when it's powered through vSphere as well as through the TeamCity UI on the Cloud Agents screen.

Is there any way to temporarily suspend TeamCity's control over a specific VM so it doesn't keep shutting it down while we try to change it? Alternatively, can a toggle be added to the Cloud Agents screen to keep specific machines online until we are done with them? There is the manual start button already, but it doesn't seem to be useful since the machine still gets terminated immediately after it starts.

We are using 2017.2.3 (build 51047). Any help or insight is appreciated!
