Build Agents Take 1 hour to start

Hello,

We're having a problem with build agents: every time I restart a build agent it takes exactly 1 hour to get to "Connected" state. Is there anything we can do about this?

Thanks!

A small addition: after agent restart I have looked into teamcity-agent.log and the last row there is "INFO - .agent.AgentStartupGitDetector - Detect git at C:\Program Files\Git\bin\git.exe "

Could it be casuing the problem?

Hi,

Could you please specify:
-Which TeamCity version you are running
-What kind of build agent this is (regular, dedicated machine, cloud agent, what type of cloud, etc)
-Whether this issue just started to happen or this is the first time you face it, also whether this is a brand new machine/image etc.

Thanks in advance.

Also please provide a thread dump from the agent process and check if there are any git processes running on the agent machine.

Hi guys,

I was using TeamCity 9.9.1, the agent was installed on a virtual machine and was happening from the very beginning (I think around a year). Those servers were handed over to me just recently, so this was the first issue I noticed.

BUT! I have updated Teamcity (and Git on all agents) to the latest version yesterday and now the problem is gone - agents connect almost immediately! So I don't currently have a reproduction case :).
