"outdated agent"

I've just installed the build agent on a new machine, started it up and end up with it being listed as an "outdated agent" on the server. When I hover over "outdated agent" it say "version still unknown" and stays that way. On the agent side, I have:

java.util.NoSuchElementException
WARN - rver.agent.impl.BuildAgentImpl - Call http://n4dev.navis

ng.Exception: java.lang.RuntimeException: Agent n4dev02 already exists since 8/2
3/06 3:40 PM. Running build -1 doesn't exists

No such other agent n4dev02 exists. This appears to be another instance of my agent hang bug: http://jetbrains.net/jira/browse/TW-644

I downloaded the agent and unzipped it by hand. created and modified the buildAgent.properties file. Started it up as normal.

I'm seeing no local update of the buildAgent on n4dev02, which I have when there is really an outdated agent.
