Feature Requests - Diffs & Dependency Analysis

Hello,

I'm checking out TeamCity and it looks really nice. However I can't seem to find any way to view the diffs in the files that have changed. After looking at TRAC (http://trac.edgewall.org/) I would anticipate TeamCity to support something similar. Could you please add this?

Secondly, I like the idea of server side inspections. Would it be possible to add the dependency analysis of IDEA to the server side builds? Also could you comment on the dependency graph views of Structure101 (http://www.headwaysoftware.com/products/structure101/) and whether something like that would be feasible for IDEA or TeamCity?

Thanks,

Ted Slusser

For depencency analysis, CodeDependency (http://www.sixthandredriver.com/codedependency.html ) is a commercial plugin for IDEA 6.0 which produces graphs of dependencies at the module, package, class, or element levels. Unlike Structure101, CodeDependency works at the source level, producing more accurate and immediately usable dependency analyses. Tightly integrated with IDEA, CodeDependency allows one-click navigation from dependency graphs to source code, triggering of many IDEA refactorings from dependency graphs, and requires absolutely no configuration. A 14-day free trial is available, so give it a try and see what you think.

We have considered a TeamCity integration for CodeDependency (probably using SVG for web-enabled graph rendering), but have no current plans for one.

Web-based diff is will be in TeamCity 2.0, already available in for early-access.
