Two CVS projects, one VS2005 Solution file

Hi!

I'm evalutation Team City for my company and its really a great tool and much more simple to use than CruiseControl.Net.

However, I do have one issue which I can not find a solution for. One of our projects have a VS2005 solution which includes source code from 2 different CVS projects. In CruiseControl.Net this is no problem, but how can I do the same in Team City? Below is an example of how this is done in CruiseControl.Net.

Best regards
Torben

Torben,

Please try adding several VCS roots on the "Version Control Settings" page of the build configuration settings. ("Create and attach new VCS root" link)

Thanks for the answer!

It would have been nice if it was possible to define a working directory for each CVS checkout in the scenario I mentioned in the previous post. Our solution file consist of an API and a Website in seperate CVS folders and they should be in specific location in order to build with the solution file. I'm sure I can find a workaround but it would have been nice with this feature.

Torben,

If what you need is to place the sources from different VCS roots into different subdirectories, this can be achieved by specifying "checkout rules" for the VCS roots (see VCS roots table on the build configuration VCS settings).
e.g. you can specify ".=>somewhere\x"

The target paths are always relative to the build "checkout directory".

Do you need the absolute target paths here?
