Login Timeout

Just installed the TC plug-in, & tried to log in to our TC server (on which I have an account set up) from IDEA, and got this error:

"Cannot login to TeamCity: connection timed out. Check your server firewall settings (XmlRpc web server on this client computer is using port 63342)"

Other users are able to log in from IDEA, and I can access my TC account via the web page - any suggestions as to why I can't log in but others can?

The TeamCity IDEA plugin tries to establish connection to the TeamCity server and the message indicates the process failed. Most probably the cause is the networking configuration, namely firewalls or proxy configuration.

What OS do you use?
Do you have any firewalls installed (third-party or internal)?
Do you need a proxy to connect to TeamCity server?
Do you have proxy configured in IDEA General settings?

Thanks for your quick response.

This is our work network - everyone is automatically configured the same, WinXP SP2, identical firewall settings, no proxies.

It's not urgent, we're just getting started with it, but our TC setup guy is on holiday atm, so I just thought I'd see if this was a common problem with a well-known solution. I can wait until he gets back, and chase it up with him.
