Upgrading from 4.0 to 4.5

Hi Folks,   Is there any documentation on upgrading from 4.0 to 4.5?  I certainly do not want to lose any of our builds that have already been created, etc.

Is this pretty straight forward or do I need to backup a certain set of files just in case problems arise?
