Permissions granting strategy

Hi All

I debate with my colleague what permissions granting approach is best in TC.
We have two options: Group Permissions and User Permissions
Group permissions: we create a group, we assign permissions sets (roles in TC context), we add user to this group to propagate group permissions on the user.
User permissions: assign permissions sets (roles) directly to user.

I preffer group permissions approach since imho it's the best practice in administering RBAC enabled applications.
Any objective opinion what approach is better?

Actually one of the reason groups were introduced is to simplify permissions management. So we also think it is better to use groups. Usually a group is created for a set of projects and it is much easier to add user to the group than to add same set of permissions for every new developer of this project.
