How to locate the failed test case in my log by click "view test details"?

Folks,

I have test cases which are failed there. And in TC's web GUI, there is a pop box listing all of them. On the right side, there is an icon named "view test details".

I wish I could jump to the failed case log directly(or show it somewhere) by click this icon. Current TC's implemention will bring me to "test details" page instead.

Could you pls advice how to implement it?

Thanks,

Raymond

Hello,

You cannot locate the test in the log, unless doing manual text string search in browser.

If you click the name of the failed test you go to build results page where failure details are available - there is stacktrace and test output.

If you want to navigate to this page from Tests tab, use "Failure" link on the left side of the test.

For successful tests, you cannot get test details so far, unless you inspect build log.

Kirill,

If could not link to test log, for the failed test cases, is it possible to write some comments for each fail or connect them with bugzilla bugs somewhere?

Thanks,

Raymond

Hello,

So far you can add linking to bug database only from commit comments, and not from test output.

How do you report bugzilla's issue number from your test?
