Problem TeamCity 4.5.x installed on a 'MAC OSX Server' (XServe)

Hello,

I have a problem with our Teamcity server installed on our Mac OSX Server (XServe)...

When anyone click on the "Statistics" project tab 95% of the time the server "crashed" and we are obliged to restart the server with executing the "runall.sh" shell script.

No details was logged in logs files and it's no possible to know why TeamCity crashed.

In the past (we have used all TeamCity edition 3.x to 4.5x) we have this problem cause we doesn't used  "-Djava.awt.headless=true" but after setted this option all have been ok. Now since few month (i didn't know edition number) clicking on "Statistics" project tab crashed the TeamCity server. (and by viewing .sh scripts we have see -Djava.awt.headless=true is no more mandatory cause setted by default by "teamcity-server.sh")

This is our configuration:

  • Server: Teamcity 4.6
  • Server variables:
      • TEAMCITY_AGENT_OPTS=-Djava.awt.headless=true
      • TEAMCITY_DATA_PATH=/data/.teamcity-configuration
      • TEAMCITY_SERVER_MEM_OPTS='-Xms512m -Xmx768m -XX:MaxPermSize=192m'
      • TEAMCITY_SERVER_OPTS='-agentpath:/opt/teamcity/bin/libyjpagent.jnilib -Djava.awt.headless=true'

If anyone can help me for this strange problem...
Anyone else have this bug ?

Thanks for all,

Thierry

What version of Java do you use? If there any updates to your Java, I would suggest to install them. You told there were no crash logs, did you try to search them in the working directory - TeamCity/bin?

I noticed there is YourKit native library in the JVM options (-agentpath param), if you do not profile server, try to remove this parameter. Profiler may be the cause of random crashes of JVM.
