Change project build hang-detection timeout

Hello again,

One problem we're having with our build is that there is one step that takes an inordinate amout of time to complete (about 20 minutes) without producing any output. (Linking a *very* large C++ application in MSBuild with LTCG switched on.)

When TeamCity comes across this build step, it thinks the build is hung and starts issuing warnings. Is there any way to bump up the hang timeout to, say, an hour - for a specific project?

Thanks,
Simon

Simon,

There is no way to change the timeout (feel free to file a feature request on it), but you can disable hanging build detection under General Settings of a build configuration, see "enable hanging builds detection" option.

Actually server should not think the build is hanging until it exceeds its duration estimate. Probably, your build recently became a bit slower and server have not yet tuned estimates appropriately. After serveral builds estimates should be fine, and you should not see hanging message.

Ah, that's probably it. It's a new project, so I guess it needs to build a few times before it settles down. I'll disable hanging build detection for a few builds, and then re-enable it in a couple of days.
