VS Plugin "There is not suitable build configurations for selected changes"

Once upgrading to TC 5 from 4.5 the VS plugin always gives the above message when trying to run a personal build. Is there anything needed to do to make it work again?

Simone,

What version of Visual Studio do you use? Did you make any changes with VCS root after upgrade?

Simone, what specific version you are currently using, 5.0 or 5.0.x?

Hi Marina,

no VCS root changes after upgrade, but we switched to an external database using the migration tool, although everything else seems to work fine.

We are using TC version 5.0.2 with VS 2008 SP1.

Simone, what version control do you use?
Also, it would be great, if you could attach TeamCity add-in logs here (in this thread). You could find them in %Temp%\JetLogs directory.

Hi Evgeniy,

we're using TFS 2008.

About the log unluckily I'm not allowed to post it since it contains sensitive information but here's a section which might be interesting. It looks like it's looking for subversion. Let me know if you need more information.

Simon, make shure, that TFS server url in Visual Studio settings and used TeamCity VCS root settings are identical.

It looks like it's looking for subversion.

Check that subversion integration is disabled in TeamCity add-in options.

They both seem right, the server url is fine and subversion is disabled. Nothing changed on our VCS, TC is triggering builds correctly, it's only the VS plugin which is not working.

We'd need a fix for this. Personal builds are not working anymore for any build and any user. Is there a support option for Enterprise license owners?

Simon, make shure that TFS server URL's match exactly, including case!
Also you could check case in TFS checkout rules.

Please also look for TFS related messages in your logs.

Unluckily I double checked and server URL in TC server and VS is exactly the same.

Might it be interesting to know that the source control server runs on a non-default port?
