TC current user property?

Greetings all!

I need to use the current user info in one of my scripts. Not ther user.name one (since JVM runs under SYSTEM user) but the user currently logged into the web interface. Is that user name somehow accessible?

Thanks

Hello Dmitry,

At any particular moment many users can be logged into the TeamCity we UI. To understand your needs could you please provide details? Maybe you need to know username of  that was trigger the build?

Kind regards,
Marina

Marina,

thank you -- that is exactly what I need. For my ant script that creates a branch in Perforce, I need to embed the user who does the branching into the branch name, and since this is done via TC UI, I need to know which user triggered the build script.

Please let me know how to access that info.

Thanks a lot!

Regards,
-Dmitriy

Dmitry,

Unfortunately there is no such property for now. We have related request for this, please watch/vote for it: ../jira/browse/TW-399http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/TW-4502 Persist information about what triggered a build
Also Groovy plugin could do this job: http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/TW/Groovy+plug

Hope this help,
Marina
