No agents display after installing build agent !?

I'm using

TeamCity Professional Version 5.0.2 (build 10784) on a Windows 7 Workstation

I installed the Build agent using the built in MS Windows Installer

I verify the Windows service is up and running yet the agent is not displayed as "available" - neither connected nor disconnected

Here is the property lis for the agent:

#Generated properties (see buildAgent.dist.properties for description)

Hello David,

Are the server and agent installed on the same machine? Is there only one agent installed at the machine? Did you change url and/or default port (80) for the server?

Please note, when the newly installed agent connects to the server for the first  time, it appears on the Unauthorized agent tab under Agents.

Kind regards,
Marina

1) The server & the agent on on the same Windows 7 workstation

2) There is only one agent installed on this machine - but how do I verify that

3) I had to change the default port from 80 to 8080 - I'm still using the defualt of localhost

Hope this helps clarify...

David

David,

Please change server url  to http://localhost:8080 in agent properties.
If it's not help please provide the agent upgrade log.

Thanks,
Marina

1) I changed the agent server url to include 8080 - that FIXED the problem!!

2) Where is the server upgrade log (i.e. directory path) - I'd like to look at it for future reference!

Thanks again!

The upgrade log is on the agent, not on the server. Take a look at <agent inst dir>/logs/upgrade.log
