missing sln runners after upgrade

Upgrade from 5.0.3 to 5.1.2.
Start server and build agent. Leave for 30 minutes. Log on via web page.
Agent is misisng all of the VS 200x solution runners.
I saw a previous note on the forum about reinstalling agent and reinstall TC. Tried both and same result.
Are the VS runners part of the build or do these need to be downloaded?

Hi Marina,

I do not have any agent logs on the server. The agent service is running. I have the usual tomcat logs plus a few teamcity vcs logs

It is no doubt something daft I have done but having followed the upgrade instructions I am at a loss to see what.

You could find build agent logs  at <agent home>/logs directory. Please attach them all.

Thank you for the logs. Looks like agent was installed over previous version and now TeamCity invokes old agent plugin.
Please uninstall completely agent and perform clean agent installation.

Hi Marina,
couple of points. Does TC not upgrade - you mention that TC was installed on over previous version, which is correct but the install nots say that upgrade is OK.
Also, I did try an uninstall of the server / agent (we have both on single machine) and there was no improvement - see my first messge in this thread.

I copy-pasted my last anser here:

You write you had had reinstalled TeamCity. Have you removed all TeamCity folders while reinstallation?
Do you have any custom plugins installed either to <server>/web-inf/plugins or to <teamcity data directory>/plugins?

It seems you have old version of .NET plugin that is still reference a library that we have removed in 5.1.
Please check all files in the server installation are up-to-date and there were no files left after
previous TeamCity installation.

Please attach contents of <server>/webapps/root/update/plugins, <server>/webapps/root/WEB-INF/plugins folders

Please attach zipped files <agent>/plugins/dot*net*.

Have you applied any patches to fresh TeamCity installation? Please check <teamcity data directory>/plugins folder
for patches or additional plugins.

Having uninstalled TC, deleted all of the directories and then installed 5.1.2, it worked. The database was not deleted but even though it kept details of logins, the projects were gone and had to be re-entered.
Having done all of that to get round the Clearcase problems (lshistory, lsvtree), they were still there. 6 days of work to get nowhere.
