How do you migrate user settings when switching from default to LDAP authentication?

Hi!

We just switched from default to LDAP authentication. The LDAP setup for authentication and synchronization was no problem, and that part works fine.

However, close to the bottom of

http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/TCD4/LDAP+Integration

there's a heading Username migration, on how to map old usernames (already in TeamCity) to the (new) usernames in LDAP. Although not mentioned, I thought this would migrate old users' settings (mainly notification settings and VCS usernames) to the new users.

It seems like I've set it up correctly. (It gave me some errors when I misspelled an entry, but now works quietly.) Also, it just so happens that the old usernames and the new ones are identical. Current setup:

teamcity.users.base=ou=accounts
teamcity.users.username=uid
teamcity.users.login.capture=(.*)
teamcity.users.login.filter=(uid=$capturedLogin$)
teamcity.users.previousUsername=$login$

However:

1. I can't see that anything has happened. The old entries (username with default security) in the database are still there, seemingly untouched. (New entries with the same username, but LDAP authentication, has been created.)
2. No settings from the old users has migrated to the new users. I.e. all users must enter them again.

Questions:
1. Does this migration copy the user settings from the old user to the new user?
2. If it does, how do you set it up correctly?

Thanks in advance,

Per.
