ClearCase VCS error message after upgrading to 5.1.4 from 5.1.2
I just upgraded our server from 5.1.2 to 5.1.4. I'm now seeing this error message for one of our projects:
[2010-08-31 20:06:22,435] WARN [oader 4 {id=15}] - jetbrains.buildServer.VCS - Unable to collect changes for [DXSI 8.4.3 :: AIX runtime test {id=bt35}, DXSI 8.4.3 :: HPUX runtime test {id=bt36}, DXSI 8.4.3 :: Linux RH4 runtime test {id=bt34}, DXSI 8.4.3 :: Linux RH5 runtime test {id=bt33}, DXSI 8.4.3 :: Solaris runtime test {id=bt38}]: Error collecting changes for VCS root 'dx_8.4.3_int_vobs_dx'
Checkout rule:
jetbrains.buildServer.vcs.VcsException: java.io.IOException: cleartool: Error: Unable to access "/view/dx_8.4.3_int/vobs_dx/si/plugins/com.progress.dataxtend.si.designer.ui/src/com/progress/dataxtend/si/designer/ui/.@@/main/dx_main/dx_8.4_int/andrewa_dx_8.4_madrid/7/types/main/dx_8.5_int/jdundon_dx_8.5/1/.@@/main/0": No such file or directory.
Sure enough, that pathname does not exist.
In our ClearCase environment, we do have a trigger to remove version 0. We didn't see this error with 5.1.2. I don't know if the error started happening with 5.1.3 or 5.1.4 as we went from 5.1.2 to 5.1.4.

Bill,
Can you please enable debug logging on your server, reproduce the problem and provide me your logs?
I was on vacation and just got back. I just reproduced the issue again after enabling the server side debug output. The logfiles zip file is attached to this post.

Bill,
Thank you, I will investigate this problem.
Hello,
Seems I fixed this problem.
I created the issue for this bug: http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/TW-13359 and attached the patch to it.
See issue comments for information about how to install this patch.
How do you mark this thread as "Answered/Done"? Is that something that only the forum administrators can do? I cannot find any way that I can do this myself.
In any case, this thread is resolved from my perspective as the patch fixed the issue. Thanks.
Hello Bill,
Ability to mark thread as answered has question kind threads. To have such kind of thread you should check "Mark this thread as a Question" under Subject during thread creation.
Kind regards,
Marina
Hi Bill,
We are reviewing the changes related to your issue and need for your clarification:
there is an log entry(lshistory command):
esther#--#20100907.144441#--#/view/dx_8.4.2_tfix/vobs_dx/si/plugins@@/main/dx_main/esther_dx_8.5/1/com.progress.dataxtend.si.dis/main/esther_dx_8.5/2/lib/main/esther_dx_8.5/2/XMLConverters.jar#--#version#--#/main/esther_dx_8.5/2#--#checkin#--#create version#--##--#DS00085770###----###
Could you please explain us does the entry describe file "view/dx_8.4.2_tfix/vobs_dx/si/plugins/com.progress.dataxtend.si.dis/lib/XMLConverters.jar" or something other?
Thanks in advance,
Konstantin
