dupfinder finds duplicates, but fails to show the diff-view

I added dupfinder as a command runner to a third project. It scans *.cs files in directories, excluding *.g.cs and *.designer.cs, and by switching on debug I see it finds the relevant files.

In the dpulicates view I see approximately what I expect in terms of detected dupes, but selecting an instance in the center listbox yields "null" in both left and right file pane.

All three projects use the same repository (Perforce) and have the same charset. The first two projects work like a charm. The log says nothing about things going wrong.

What can be happening? I run TC6.0.1

Hi Jesper

we had a similar issue recently, please check.

If that doesn't cover your case, please post a screenshot of runner settings, and result.xml artifact.

Thanks
Michael

It didn't seem to match. I posted my settings in email.

Hi Jesper

If the issue is still actual, we'll need additional info from you, we asked by email:

  • Is content of changes available on a build page?
  • Does updated version of Perforce plugin (attached to TW-15385) help?
  • Please send us full teamcity-server.log and teamcity.vcs.log

Thanks
Michael

Thanks for reminding me.

I downloaded the perforce plugin zip-file and placed it without unpacking it in the plugins (<TEAMCITY>/data/plugins) directory and chowned it to root (as all the other files in the tree are owned by root). I did not change any file bits. That made no discernible difference. If there

The changes are indeed visible when I look at the Changes drop down and click a file. All the differences are shown as expected.

I'll mail you the log files by email.
