TC7D ERROR jetbrains.buildServer.SERVER Exception occured in response fragment filter

hi all,

First, I don't see any hierarchical groupings of the threads, so I hopeI am posting to the right board?

Second, I recently installed TC7 and found during the time period it runs its cleanup that it is recently ending with an exception.

I cannot find anything on google for it, so maybe it's something you can help me with?

I can't see anything wrong except for these errors in the server.

I'm not necessarily an expert at checking, but our regular jobs are working.

I'm just beginning to understand TC, this is my first month of true use.

OK, here is the tail of today's log (the 3am work begins earlier in the log); [I redacted the client ip and name as x.x.x.x and yyyy].

thank you!

Anne

Anne,

Thank you for the report, we will see what we can do.

This specific issue seems not very important and should occur only rarely. Affected user just needs to reload the web page to fix it.
It should not affect server behavior anyhow except for the single broken page loading.

Re "rarely", well, on my system right now it appears to be occurring every night during the unattended cleanup.

I'm also looking into a few more things.

Thank you for replying :).

I just noticed that the "Version Control Username Settings" automatically used the Teamcity username to populate every version control username.

In one case, that was an error, ie the Teamcity user has no such correlate in our version control.

Could that cause the issue?

Upon what actions is that setting utilized?

thank you!

The exception happens when you leave TeamCity administration web pages opened in a browser for a night. The pages refresh data in background and make AJAX requests to the server. In time when the server is switched to maintenance mode the requests cannot be handled. That's a bug but it should not cause any damage to the system.

VCS usernames used to match your commits and show them on My Changes page.
Unlikely that's related to the exception above.

Great! That matches my symptoms precisely. I found the bug;
