timestamp in VCS build tag

I'm looking for a way to include a timestamp into my automatic VCS tags created by TeamCity - either the build timestamp or (preferrably) the timestamp of the commit (last commit?) that triggered the build.

I looked through the available parameters and couldn't find a timestamp, which makes me think this isn't a recommended tag.

How would you recommend getting one of those timestamps in to the tag.
