Artifactory plugin not available after installation

Hi,

I had installed the artifactory plugin around the time I installed TeamCity 6. I tested artifactory at the time and it worked fine.

I now use TeamCity 7.1 and find that I will need to use the artifactory plugin more extensively. So, I installed teamcity-artifactory-plugin-2.1.4.zip to $TEAMCITY_DATA_PATH/plugins and removed the old one. Then I bounced TeamCity but I don't see Artifactory available in the Administration > Plugin List or anywhere else in the TeamCity UI. I also don't see it on the server in webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/plugins. I read this page but it has not helped: http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/TeamCity+Artifactory+Plug-in

Thanks,
-Dave

Hi Dave

Do you see any errors in teamcity-server.log after the server restart? Please check that the zip file is not corrupted.

Hi Michael,

It took a while to find but there is this in the catalina.out log:

[2012-09-13 17:30:52,604]   WARN - ins.files.ServerPluginUnpacker - Failed to unpack file: server/ to /data/teamCity/plugins/.unpacked/teamcity-artifactory-plugin-2.1.4/server. Failed to create directory: /data/teamCity/plugins/.unpacked/teamcity-artifactory-plugin-2.1.4/server
[2012-09-13 17:30:52,660]   WARN - ins.files.ServerPluginUnpacker - Failed to unpack file: server/ to /data/teamCity/plugins/.unpacked/command.line/server. Failed to create directory: /data/teamCity/plugins/.unpacked/command.line/server

I re-downloaded the zip file and did an md5 checksum on both files and they were the same. I also did an 'unzip -l' on the file and it seems ok.

Not sure what to try next. The file perms on the zip file is 644 and it owned by the same user as starts TeamCity.
