Agent not recognized by Server

Hello
i'm configuring team city.
after installing on ubuntu server i installed agent on windows 7 client by msi installer.
logs are fine. And also i can call the agent on client by http://localhost:9090 answer is as should be "Method GET not implemented (try POST)"
Service is running.
But in the agents list i can't see anything
What could be the problem?

Did you authorize the agent? Is the agent listed under the Disconnected or Unauthorized tabs?

Maybe the firewall is blocking? Setup an inbound rule to allow port 9090 and an outbound rule on port 80.

Hi
i created rules
=> no change
i turned off firewall
=> no change
i checked fiddler
=> in 5 mins period no communication of agent to server

=> noch change means: no agent listed on server anywhere

Hi,

Could you please check that agent and server can open HTTP connection to each other? Please follow this - http://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/TCD8/Setting+up+and+Running+Additional+Build+Agents#SettingupandRunningAdditionalBuildAgents-NecessaryOSandenvironmentpermissions.
Also please attach teamcity-agent.log, teamcity-server.log and buildAgent.properties files.

so doing default setting i need on my windows client the ports open TCP 80 outbound, and TCP 9090 inbound
is this right?

Yes, it is. In order for the TeamCity agent to work you should ensure the agent process is able to open outbound HTTP connections to the server address (the same address you use in the browser to view TeamCity UI) and accept inbound HTTP connections from the server to the port specified as "ownPort" property in "<TeamCIty agent home>\conf\buildAgent.properties" file.
Can you connect to the agent from server machine using a browser? A request to http://<host>:9090/ sould return "Method GET not implemented (try POST)". Can you connect from agent machine using browser to server to view TeamCity UI?
