Why is the failed_tests_output table empty?

I would like to get the information represented by the structure of this table and display it as a grid in TC web.  But since this information is absent I need to get it from build logs instead of simply querying. This means writing an agent plugin that hooks into the life cycle of agent. Is there any other simple way to achieve this? Basically I want to display expected, actual, stack trace for each failed test in a grid since it is not convenient to look for this information by clicking on a test and drilling down to build logs to figure this out. I wish the Tests tab ofviewlog displayed it in the grid along with other information such as status, test name, duration which it already does!

For quite some time TeamCity is not storing exceptions in database, they can be loaded from build logs only. This table is maintained for compatibility with some old versions of TeamCity.
